How long does it take to update tree after gender correction? [closed]

Question

A female had her gender listed as male.  As a result her position in her descendants ancestral tree was swapped with her spouse.(she was her spouse's husband).

Does it take up to 24 hours for her position in the tree to be corrected? Or does the correction happen immediately and she is still in the wrong postition because of another problem I have not figured out?

The gender indicated on a profile is an independent function from the profile's position in the tree as a parent.

Simply correcting the gender on the profile has no effect on the profile's position in the tree. As Eve and Deb state, correcting the "parent swap" requires detaching and re-attaching each child's profile that has the parents swapped.

It doesn't happen automatically. You'll need to edit the father and the mother of their children manually and change places for them.

Make sure she is not connected to any children as father instead of mother. Check her spouse's gender as well.
