Ability to compare at surname index listing

Would it be possible to have the option to mark two entries on a surname listing (the alphabetical surname list) for comparison purposes. At this stage if I would like to compare the two, I have to open each individually.

You can already do this. Note at the very top of the page, you'll see:

click here to show more options for Wiki Genealogists.

That display the same page, but with merge options galore.
