My grandfather was a cousin of Al Capone, and I want to find the family connection.

My grandfather was Victor P. Gabriele.  He was born near Naples on 2/5/1896 and came to America from Naples in 1912.  Just before his death in Albuquerque, NM on April 2, 1952, he told my mother that he was a cousin to Al Capone.  There doesn't seem to be enough info online for me to find what the connection was between the two families.  I just ordered the book, Uncle Al Capone by Deirdra Marie Capone to try to find out more.  Can you help?  My name is David Wolfe, Thank you.
