Is it OK to detach this stray?

Question

Elizabeth Batten has been attached to the Battens of Rochester though her father is given as Edward Batten of Portsmouth. Have tried to talk to PM but have not been answered. Is it acceptable to detach her and create a new father? There's no evidence in the documents available that Edward Batten of Rochester had a daughter, Elizabeth. (Would be nice if it were true as she made a good marriage!)

How long ago did you contact the Profile Manager? I realize that it has been a month since his last activity.

There would appear to be evidence in the profiles to support your facts as Elizabeth appears to have been born (1681) 7 years before her putative mother and father married (1688).

The PM added himself to the profile on the 19th June so the profile was not created by him. He then proceeded to add parents for Elizabeth.

As Steve said How long ago did you 'talk' to the PM? If a month has passed my own personal feeling is that there is sufficient evidence to suggest the current corrections are wrong so do it with appropriate documentation.

Further edit to add: It is quite clear in Cokayne's complete peerage that Elizabeth was the daughter of Edward Batten of PORTSMOUTH.

I would be incline to detach as it is clearly and error.
