If I've downloaded an image of a census document from FamilySearch, can I post the image in its entirety, with the information of where I found it? Or, do I need to limit it to a portion of the image? I've been reading how_to_share_sources_on_wikitree. I am wondering if I could/should teach myself to make a free space profile for sources using a census document I plan to use as a source in multiple profiles. My question also applies to an idea of using a particular census image to help illustrate Volga German immigration. There is a lot of information on the census image that isn't reflected in its index. I worry that just using a link is unreliable over time, whereas posting an image of the document increases its visibility as a source and helps increase the chance of its long term survival as a source. I think my recent attempts to find records of my Volga German ancestors have made me very aware (and a bit paranoid) of source survival. I will happily accept some research advice concerning finding sources in Russia, preferably free but not gonna hold my breath. Is anything available online at all?
