Should I make a free space source profile for census and can I include full image?

If I've downloaded an image of a census document from FamilySearch, can I post the image in its entirety, with the information of where I found it? Or, do I need to limit it to a portion of the image? I've been reading how_to_share_sources_on_wikitree. I am wondering if I could/should teach myself to make a free space profile for sources using a census document I plan to use as a source in multiple profiles. My question also applies to an idea of using a particular census image to help illustrate Volga German immigration. There is a lot of information on the census image that isn't reflected in its index. I worry that just using a link is unreliable over time, whereas posting an image of the document increases its visibility as a source and helps increase the chance of its long term survival as a source. I think my recent attempts to find records of my Volga German ancestors have made me very aware (and a bit paranoid) of source survival. I will happily accept some research advice concerning finding sources in Russia, preferably free but not gonna hold my breath. Is anything available online at all?

Oooooh, thank you! That is awesome! I swear I feel like I'm fumbling in the dark around here sometimes because I'm just not finding stuff like this on my own. This place has so much stuff going on and I'm still learning how to find my way around.
We all are, Sarah. I appreciate your statements and Q's here.

Most Wikitreers would just use the citation provided by FamilySearch and not post the actual image since U.S. census images are so readily available.  You can post the image if there is some critical or unusual piece of information in it, particularly if you explain something about it in a profile.
