Would you know what town he lived in Delaware County?  The Jones name is very common.  If you could give me a little more information, I might be able to help you.

Hi Wendy, We are glad you joined us!

That John Jones profile has some major problems that need to be corrected. It seems unlikely that the same John Jones married in the 1750s and again in the 1900s. Since at least one of the wives is an incorrect connection (or the marriage year is wrong), the kids may be misconnected too. Sorry I can't be of more help on this one.

My Jones line was in Ohio in the mid-1850s.  John H. Jones and his family appear in the 1860 Census in Meigs County, Ohio.

Thank you Ray

This 1888 Pioneer history of Delaware County, Ohio has references to several Jones families:

Ray his father was George Jones and his mother was Mary [Polly] Pike Jones. He was in Iowa by 1880

Well - if this is your tree on Ancestry, then you have a lot of information on George Jones.  If not, this person's tree has links to several original documents detailing the family of George Jones:
