The more I look at this I don't know Alexander Holmes on this profile says he is born 1835 the one listed on the 1860 census has parents Nancy Grogan 31 Nathan Holmes 33 and Alexander Holmes born 1851 I believe someone has left this for adoption and I'm welling to help with this the thing is they have parents added and other children involved

Donnie,

http://www.newrivernotes.com/smyth_vitals_1832-1850_marriages.htm lists a marriage for Nathan Holmes and Nancy Grogan as October 11, 1847 in
Smyth County, Virginia.  Obviously, the marriage is too late to be the parents of Alexander Holmes born in 1835, but not 1851.  This seems to e a different Nancy Grogan given that Nancy Grogran Alexander died in 1848.

What are your thoughts?  I've not seen the 1860 Census.

Yes I believe Nathan Holmes and his son Alexander Holmes needs removed although her parents seem to be correct along with her siblings
