Who are the parents of Thomas B. Grogan?

Thomas B. Grogan seems to the father of Nancy (Grogran) Holmes.  He was born in 1801.  Links have been made to William Henry Grogan and his wife, but they were not old enough to be his parents.  Can anyone find any documented evidence for Thomas's parents?

Note that Nancy (Grogran) Holmes is a different person than Nancy (Grogran) Alexander.  Nancy Grogran Holmes was born in Virginia and not South Carolina and all the evidence points to the fact that her husband Nathan Holmes was born and died in Virginia.
