Welcome to WikiTree!  You are certainly not the first person with misplaced generations.  It is an easy fix, you do not need to start over.

Someone will give you the full answer soon, I need to take off right now.

For each child, go to the Edit tab.  On the right side, under Father, click 'edit father.'  Change the father to Johnston (I'm assuming you already have a profile handy for Johnston.)

Is this - https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Abbott-7063 - the Johnston Abbott you want as father for Abner?

In that case there is a duplicate for Abner and they should be merged.

Abbott-7395 should be merged into Abbott-7062 because that is the lowest number. First detach your Abner from the incorrect father.
