Can you tell me her parents names ect. I haven't a membership to Ancestory.com Thank you
There are no records on ancestry of her parents and no records for L. and Nathaniel, other than the marriages. The book on Google may list other Flatfoot names on other pages. As far as I can see everyone died on the Trail. Catherine may be the only survivor
              Ok, thank you very much
              Thanks again
I can only track my ancestors back to 1870, the first census after slavery ended.
I think you are misunderstanding these records.  Although Ancestry somehow has categorized this record with the Eastern Cherokee applications, the 1851 list is a record of payments due to the 'Old Settlers', Cherokee who moved west BEFORE the Trail of Tears and who were living in Indian Territory in 1851.  The book that is referenced is a cross-referenced listing of the 1851 Old Settler payroll and the roll of 1896 payments to those same people (or their descendants if they had passed away) who were living in Indian Territory.  They were not eligible for the later Eastern Cherokee (Guion Miller) payment.
I am just looking for Sally's parents. She is in my family and want to find her so I can connect further family
