What do we do about profiles over 200 years old that are not open?

I keep coming across profiles that are more than 200 years old, but are not open.   What do I do?   In most cases it was because the original upload did not have a birthdate, and now the birthdate has been added through merges, etc.  Marsh-243 is a good example.   I could be working the cleanup of the biography, there are still several merges yet to be approved.

Hi Robin,

I fixed Marsh-243.

In other cases, look for the tiny link at the bottom of the profile that says "open profile request" and leads to a form like this: http://www.wikitree.com/contact/openprofile/Marsh-243

Robin -

First off, thank you for being willing to work on these common ancestors!  When you run into this situation, try to contact the profile manager first to be added to the trusted list.  If you run into an unresponsive manager, then there is a link on the bottom right corner of the profile page labeled "open profile request."  You can ask that one of the WikiTree staff open the profile so that you can then proceed with edits.
