Married: 8 Dec 1853 in Kentucky  Kentucky, Marriage Records, 1852-1914

Allegedly Died: 1859 - Breathitt, Kentucky, USA

Appears he may have been also been known under the surname of Matlock

Dan (Daniel Medlock)

I found the Death Certificate for the son If I can read it correctly

Born: August 1st 1860

Died: August 15th 1935

Aged: 75 Years 14 Days who was widowed

No Known Address

No Known Physician but death certificate alleges Heart Failure as cause of death.

 

Hopefully this information helps someone narrow down some results I can't find no specifics

Yes he could have used Matlock but I am not sure if he did. I have the info. you sent, and have been all over the internet.  He is buried in the Medlock Cemetery I think???  But I haven't found any other info.  Thank you for trying to help.

Yes I found Daniel's death cert. too.  You right it is hard to read.  His son Roscoe died of Heart Failure so Daniel probably did too.

There is a theory however no proof that James Medlocks parents are George Matlock: Born March 03, 1795 in Lee County Virginia and Died before 1860 in Trimble Creek Kentucky who married Margaret (Unknown Maiden Name) Born: About 1797 and died March 08 1870 in Greenfield, Greene County, Illinois but all this is a hypothesis.

Thank you so much. I just put that info. into Ancestry but no hints came up.  That usually means no knowledge or not correct.  I will keep trying.  Thank you so much.  Any idea if George was born in VA?  Also is it possible  James could have been born in NC?
