Knowing where or parents, would be a big help. In 1901 there are 4 in England and 45 in Scotland.

If I knew where or who the parents were I wouldn't need to ask the question. The only info I have about him is the date of birth.  But thank you for your interest.
My father had a brother William Reid born in Glasgow at about that time and later the family moved to Cleethorpes near Grimsby as their father (my Grandfather) worked as a marine engineer on fishing trawlers. There were 8 children in the family and you can find the list via the 1901 British census. My father was the youngest (Walter) born in 1901 and just made the census count.

I have a Willie that I have down as being born about 1892. He was one of my great grandmothers siblings ( she was the youngest of about ten I think ). They were all born in the Stirling area
