Aleš Trtnik is an Amazing and Wonderful WikiTreer!!!

Aleš has been quietly working behind the scenes to automate our tallies for challenges.  Has everyone seen the new challenge tracker?  Not only does it track challenges, but you can also check for suggestions for each profile as you go!

I love all of the innovations Aleš creates for WikiTree to make things easier for our work.  And he does it with incredible humility and flexibility.  If something isn't working quite the way we need it to, he asks, "How would you like it to be done?" and makes the adjustments.

You are an incredible asset to WikiTree Aleš and I feel very privileged to get to work with you on the Data Doctors Project!  THANK YOU! Hvala Vam!!

In software development you have a discipline called Agile development. The idea is that developing software can’t be specified first and delivered 4 years later because then have everything changed or as I feel with genealogy in a world wide family tree is that its so complex that we learn all the time. If we look back when Aleš started with the first Wikitree db dump no one could have guessed how this would have developed with weekend competitions  etc

The combination of a doer and not afraid of doing the “dirty work “ ( like define 100 help pages) and are also trying new things like the visual viewer of relations makes Aleš work unique. I am trying to push that Wikidata get something that Aleš has done to quality assure the facts in Wikidata with online sources that have high quality and a quality process  link

Seems to me we need an even better award for Aleš. He does so much amazing work and is so helpful. It seems if you have an idea of something technical to do, he'll figure it out. I am in awe of his talents.
