"Invalid ID" error during merge

Question

I am trying to merge two profiles: Henry Christian-605 and Henry Christian-609.  I get the message that HC-609 is an invalid ID - "check your Watchlist".   Which is, of course, where I found Henry Christian-609.  What can I do?

I now see that Lorna had the same problem but I still don't know the solution.

I just merged Christian-609 into Christian-605. See http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Christian-605

Is it possible you were entering "Henry Christian-605", i.e. including something other than "Christian-605"?

Be sure and enter person's last name, then a - (dash), then wiki id #, no spaces.

Look at top of page after clicking "merge" for error (in yellow).  When I had that problem I wasn't entering last name before the id #.  Try that with a dash between last name and id #.
