Been wondering the same thing. All that I have done, have had the Unsourced template and have added dates and sources. Wonder why some would be Unofficial.
At first i thought maybe it was from them being on my tree. But i saw that counts. Also have seen some say tracker wasn't working? Maybe it needs time to do them all?
All but one of mine are official and the one which wasn't was indeed not bearling an unsourced template.

I wont swear to this, but did the unofficial profiles all have the unsourced template? Becasue if they did not, then they are not counted. But you still went through the tracker.

If I go and do the occassional family of an unsourced person, I dont hit the tracker to count the family if they are NOT unsourced. Thus my record reads 44 profiles done and 44 official.

I THINK that is the difference. But dont quaote me on that!! LOL

All mine have been from unsourced or 802/803 errors, yet I have a lot of unofficials. Weirdness.
Well anyways i have 1 now......yay for not having zero......don't ask me how tho .i think it was just from my simply taking unsourced from a profile? I did one non family last night.Simple.....and i saw that doing mulitple mulitpleon one such as adding every date may not make them count.
Been checking the changes on profiles that I edited and they indeed had the Unsourced template, before I removed it and added Sources, For the first 2/3 of profiles I did, there was only one Unofficial, then the last dozen edited profiles all declared Unofficial even though they were no different than the previous profiles that are Official.

I would like to know this, too. Could you tag the question source-a-thon and challenges?

I was guessing that it was where they were not categorised to county level, but maybe I am wrong.

While we are on the subject of the tracking list, can anyone tell me what the normalised number is telling us?

It's supposed to be a way to see what a team is doing on a per person basis.  Thus if a team has 12 members vs 6 for another team, the number of sourced profiles will be divided by 12 vs 6.  It looks to me like the teams with the largest number of members are still getting the highest normalized results however.  The reason presumably is a large team attracts stronger sourcerers.
Thanks Dave. That makes sense as a theory, but I couldn’t figure out which numbers they are using.
