Hi

I hope someone can assist me. I tried to go to Seigelman-1 and Seigelman-2, which I created and is included in the Notables Project, when I couldn't find them, I went to

  • SEIFTS (1 - Dorothy L (Moxom) Seifts)
  • SEIG (10/7)
  • SEIGAFUSE (1 - Mary Seigafuse)
  • SEIGAL (8/7)
  • SEIGEL (66/51 SEIGELs)
  • SEIGELMAN (2 - ) and I couldn't access them that way either

Could someone grant me  a Notable  Badge .

Thank you

Jenny

Hi JD,

Here is a link to the Notables Project where there is information about joining:

I'm sure they would be happy to have you :)

Hi Keith,

Thank you. I had done that already and not gotten a response, so I thought put it on G2G and see if someone sends me the badge

Hi Keith, Gov. Seigelman does not spell his name that way, he is living.
Then some document to this respect should be provided in the face of numerous reports and articles spelling his name Siegelman.

The State of Alabama Department of Archives and History spells him Siegelman: http://www.archives.alabama.gov/conoff/siegelman.html
Hi Helmet. I had removed myself as a profile manager, since he is notable the notable project now manages his profile and I can no longer see what has been done .I created the profile. I gathered the historical information so if the articles say it is Sie then that is what it is. I had someone approach me about changing it maybe it was to sei, since it did show there was an sei at some point in time. You sound a little intense, did I offend you if so I am sorry

Jenny:

No offense taken here, maybe my mistake due to the brevity of the note. The official state site spells him with "ie" and so do a lot of news articles and Wikipedia. I did notice, however, that there are also a number of articles around spelling him with "ei". Just wanted to say that if there is a difference of opinion how to spell the name some official document, or maybe some signature in his writing would be helpful settling it. Siegelman seems to be of German origin and many immigrants with names with an "ie" changed the spelling of their name to "ei" to preserve the pronunciation.
