Did you see the changes to category help pages?

The help pages for categories have been in need of serious improvement. The following aren't polished -- much of this is still being discussed here and among members of the Categorization Project -- but I made a start of it.

 

I edited http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Categories and it now appears in WikiTree Help so it should be easier to find. This is meant to be a "home page" for everything related to categories.

 

I edited http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Using_Categories so it's a more straight-forward instructional page, rather than a style page. It's an intro to how to categorize a profile and how to create a new profile.

 

I changed the name of "Location Fields and Categories" to http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Location_Fields so it's more clearly about location style rules, not about category style rules.

 

I created http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category_Names as a new style guide for naming categories. This is very rough.
