Any information on the Medlin, NC, children placed in an orphanage? placed in a orphanage

I was a child of Allie EsterMedlin,born in NC in 1922.  She was placed in an orphanage in 1930 in Thomasville. I know this much.

I think I remember my Grandmother telling me about a child put in an orphanage in her family she was a Medlin befor she married my Grandfather. I have family members I will ask them and if i find out will post more for you.
