Is there a way to restrict a find-a-match search to just finding first/last name matches?

I've been spoiled by the "exact match" feature in  Is that an option that would be easy to add?  When I run find a match, results include some really dubious matches (e.g., Edward Spencer Martin & Edward Martin Morris), and lots of them.

I can see the rational behind what's looked for, for women, and it's easy enough to reject the match (although I do wonder what the "Edward Morris" profile manager thinks when seeing that I rejected a match with "Edward Martin" - hopefully not "well duh"!).

As long as I'm asking about options... do you think it would be worthwhile to add an option at the bottom of an individual's profile to enter a WikiID to compare that individual with? It would be useful for me, because I have several lines where the names change and the same person can have it more than one way (e.g., John Aldridge/Aldredge/Eldrit/Alldred and more... depending on which branch of the family entered the information - same with Billingsley/lea/ly but there aren't very many of them in WikiTree yet).

Oh - and the menu with B I U etc. is new, isn't it?  It's Very Nice!  Thanks!!

Hi Liz,

Thanks for the suggestions.

Regarding FindMatches, yes, we will work on this.

Regarding comparing profiles, I assume you've already seen the link in the Merges & Matches section for comparing profiles? It goes to the merging and matching page with the first ID filled in. Then you just need to fill in the second ID and click the compare button.

As for the B I U menu ... uh, I appreciate the compliment, but what? B I U? :-)

Thanks!  I *had* seen that at one point, but couldn't find it again last night.  I'll try using it a dozen or so times and then the location should stick in my mind.

The BIU - bold, ital, underline... the mini-menu with those options isn't above the window where I'm typing now (hence the *had* above), but it was when I was typing the original question, along with other text formatting options and symbols. I recall in another thread someone had commented that such a formatting menu would be nice - it is :)
