Paid to Widow Sheals, a debt. Paid to Robt. Alexander, for schooling James and Robert McNutt. Paid to James Dobbins, for schooling Alex. McNutt.Paid one new Bible, for Alex. McNutt. Paid one new Testament, for James McNutt. Paid one new spelling book, for the children.

Do  you  perhaps live  in  the  Rockbridge Virginia  area?  I  have  a  book  of  the  Rockbridge  Dragoons 14th  Cavalry  co.  H  lists  a John  R  Mcnutt, and  a  Josiah  McNutt.  I  also  searched  New  Providence Cem.  did  not  see  a name  fitting  that  date  but  4   names   McNutt.  An  Angel  Ruley  compiled  a  listing  of  the  Rockbridge  County  graveyards.  Could  it  possibly  be  any other  church  other  than Providence  at  Raphine
