How to reverse an incorrect change to a profile made by another person.

Somebody added incorrect parents and thereby a whole incorrect family to one of my profiles.

I tried to reverse this by using the option to change profile back to how it was prior, but could not make this work.

I then deleted the parents and the rest of the incorrect family disappeared...hooray.

But now I am left with a whole list of people who should be DNA matches remaining on the profile.

How do I get remove them?

Tks.

Looks like the DNA matches are via his daughter Sarah, so doubt there is a way to remove or hide them.

Re the option Wikitree gives to remove an incorrect entry by using "restore data to an earlier date".  I cannot make this option work. Can someone advise how it works.

Tks.

I've only used that feature once, to restore information that someone had deleted. Have assumed, it only applies to the information that can be edited within the open edit page.  Would be wonderful, for you, if it would time travel back and disregard the attached parents and all that came with them.

The DNA connections are re-calculated every 24 hours, so it can take a while for them to disappear after the connections have been removed.

Thank you for your answer, that is a relief.

Never fear, Mary Hesse, someone here can tell you what to do and how to correct it in ways that the tree here is set up to understand. Please talk to  Sharon Centanne G2G6 Pilot, or Laura Bozzay G2G6 Pilot, or  Julie Ricketts G2G6 Pilot, among the many wonderful people here.

BTW: this is the problem with collaboration: everyone thinks they know the correct answers and they miss things regularly. Nonetheless we slog through and do learn and our trees grow.
