removal of relationship

In my tree, an ancestor's father was removed from his son in a relationship I know is correct. Have the census data...problem is-user didn't tell me WHY she removed the relationship..I'm trying to figure it out. Maybe she has a good reason, but I would like to know. My great grandfather is Joshua West Bird, Jr and my gg grandfather is Joshua W Bird, Sr. I need more eyes to look for me, pretty please?

If you give us links to the profiles it will be easier for folks to check it out and give you advice.
I would email her and  question why. May have been an accident as you do list Joshua Jr as one of his children in the biography of Joshua Sr.
I agree with Patricia: you need to contact this other member and ask her why she removed the connection. I don't think this was an accident, since before she removed it, she marked the parent-child connection as "Uncertain."

And since you are manager of both profiles, I think it would be OK for you to restore the connection while you are engaging in discussion with her.

She's also adding and  removing spouses

You should file a Mentor Intervention Request

Not sure how to do this, but willing to learn new stuff. Thanks Eddie! I'm giving her a chance to respond back to me.

The member who removed the connection may well have done this accidentally. She has been on WikiTree less than a week. I would definitely reach out to her and ask why she removed the relationships.

Just want to add though that I see no census data that would prove the relationship. Sources that others can find via the information (citations) you provide on the profile are essential. Someone looking at your citations must be able to understand exactly how to find the information you are relying on to prove the existence, relationships, and life events of the individual.
I sent a message asking her why-and if there's a valid reason, I'm open to change. If I get no response I'll open a Mentor Request.I sure appreciate all the advice. It kinda breaks my page, because I have to leave 2 Wiki's up to go from Jr to Sr. ;)
I added them as links, I hope. Thanks Deb.
Removal of relationships is the kind of edit that normally calls for Communication Before Editing -- or at least thorough and prominent documentation of the reasons for the change.
Absolutely agree with Ellen here. I do think she is probably just being a bit overly enthusiastic and not fully understanding the protocol or the need for proper sources before arbitrarily making changes on a profile.

I do see the 1860 census record now that has the two Joshua's in the same household. Making it as easy as possible (links are always good) for others to find/access the source is always a good move. :)
