Hi Dorothy, nice to meet you.  Nothing silly about these questions, I hope we can help.

One of the ways I assist people is to help them get the best results possible from their G2G posts here in the forum.  I noticed that you really have 2 separate questions here... one about DNA procedures and one searching for ancestors.

I recommend we change the title of this post so that it is specifically asking for help finding information on your family.  That way there is no confusion and our volunteers will know what you are looking for.  The more we help them the better they can help us.

I'll just answer your question about the DNA procedure and you can be done with that :)

On Ancestry you should have a Kit Number.  Record this somewhere.  Then on WikiTree use the drop-down lists top-right of the screen... under "add" the first choice is "dna test information".  Click that and follow the prompts to enter your Kit Number.  Processing will happen overnight and your branches on WikiTree will populate with your Kit Number on your appropriate ancestor profiles.  DNA information is not uploaded to WikiTree, only your Ancestry Kit Number.  Others can compare with you there if they are also a member, or if you upload to GEDmatch (you should) then you can compare to others.

I hope this is helpful.

Cheers from Vermont!

I found a William, wife Ann, with one year old twin boys Robert L. and Willaim J. b. 1939 living in Queens, New York, Assembly District 2....says he works on a steam ship. Could this be your missing boys?

I found Antasia  Dorothy Ryan Cahill's obituary on It shows a picture of her and at the end of the obituary there is a person that talks about how "Dot" was so nice. I believe she would have the information you want. The Antasia name has been dropped.

Here is what the obituary says on

Dorothy “Dot” Cahill, 99 of West Stockbridge died peacefully Friday August 19, 2016 at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington. Dorothy was born on June 10, 1917 in Liverpool England daughter of James John and Cecilia Florence (Preston) Ryan. She was educated and graduated from Brooklyn schools. Dorothy worked for many years as a secretary for Dewey, Bryant, Stockbridge and Searles schools as well as Monument Mountain Regional High School. She was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed playing bridge, baking and feeding and watching the birds. Dorothy’s husband William D. Cahill predeceased her in 1976. Dorothy is survived by son, William “Bill” Cahill and his wife Mary and two grandchildren, William “Billy” Cahill and Shari Lynn Cahill. In addition to her husband Dorothy was predeceased by her sister Mae Fritz.

Funeral service for Dorothy Cahill will be held at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 South St. Great Barrington MA 01230 on Wednesday August 24 at 11:00 AM with Charles Van Ausdall Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Housatonic. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM preceding the funeral service. Expressions of sympathy in Dorothy’s memory may be made to the Claire Teague Senior Center or the First Congregational Church in Great Barrington care of BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME. Condolences may be made through

To end with maybe William Cahill knows the location of the twins. His telephone number should be easy to find.
