Regarding the line of Hannibal Vivian.

During the process of sourcing some Vivian profiles that are indirectly connected to my tree, there is a branch of Vivan from Camborne on Wikitree that has no source material, if anyone with experience with the Visitations of Cornwall for the Pedigree of Vivian can assist, it would be appreciated, as the information is misleading.

Found Roger Vivian on page 529 of the Visitations of the County of Cornwall.  Will add to profile.

Hi Zoe, I got a bit carried away as thought you were looking for other sources as well. I found quite a bit and added, please keep or get rid of what you want.

I didn't change his dates but they are not in agreement with the sources.
Thanks Helen and Eddie, good to get feedback. I have found quite a few BDMs on thd Cornwall OPC that tie in with the Visitations.
Here's another one that seems a bit bizarre, had a look on Ancestry and even more confusing.

Cynically, he looks like one of those profiles which latch onto a family of the same surname, preferably a younger son (of whom little is known) in an illustrious family

The statement that Thomas was a Colonel in the English Army until his retirement seems very odd. He would have been only 14 in 1642 and  27 when he is supposed to have  had a son John born in Virginia  in 1655 . When and where does he get the time to become a Colonel?

The  biography as opposed to the data boxes for  the  'son'  says that  "Captain John Vivian of the Middle Plantation (Williamsburg, Va.) first came to Virginia as an emissary of Charles II of England, one hundred years before the Revolutionary War." I've written a comment on the son's profile as it looks as if some research was going on earlier in the year

Yes, it is a bit dubious I must admit.  I think he should be detached.  It looks like lots of people have jumped to the conclusion he was from St Columb in Cornwall.
