On the 4th page of the 1830 Roane, TN census I can see on the right of the page it looks to be signed by a Stults.... but I am not sure what it says above it, or what exactly its saying here... Is this the name for the census taker?.... does anyone else understand what it is saying?

I believe it says: " Exd. (Examined) & "Corrected"  ? "Rec" ( possibly all balance recorded)

signature: " M P Stults " ( or Stubbs)

28 pages (probably the number of pages examined)

"Correct" and then another signature.

It appears he acted to examine, correct and authenticate the census pages.
