You might look in the Nat'l Park Services' free  "Civil War Soldiers & Sailors" database: http://www.nps.gov/civilwar/soldiers-and-sailors-database.htm

I just check on Fold3.com and found a Joel H Prickett who enlisted in Co E of the 47th Alabama Infantry from Cedar Bluff, Alabama in 1862, and was given a medical discharge in September of 1862.

I also checked for a "Lee Pickett" and found no records at all.

Sorry that I couldn't find anything more helpful!
