Answer/reply counter

Hi all,

      Could the answer box show a count of replies as well? I was browsing through the unanswered questions and noticed that there are many questions with replies but the original question shows no answers. OK some of the replies ask for more information to help the person asking the question, but if the person sees no answer to his/her question they might not check for a reply. may I propose a change to the answer box that would include a number showing the comments or replies? That way people might pick up and reply to their original question or see the information they need to resolve their question.

Just a general note about G2G improvements: To operate this forum, we're using an open source program called Question2Answer created by Gideon Greenspan. We've made some customizations to integrate with WikiTree, but they're relatively minor. We could certainly consider more substantive modifications but there would be a high bar on those. It's not exactly the same as with the core of WikiTree.

If anonamous asks a question, and instead of a Reply, they get a Comment, (not an answer) they get a notice in email that their question has a reply.

Others, of course don't get that, but anyone can look at any and all questions/answers.

If of course ananymous does not give a valid email address then they never get notified of anything, and they way questions fly by they could well lose the question, which is perhaps why so many never reply to answers or comments.
