I have a Sarah E Bloom that according to some reports is supposed to be MAr

Question

My 3 xxx great grandfather supposedly was married to a Sarah Bloom. However According to a few family trees on MyHeritage  Jesse Moore had only6 children (William, Sami or Samuel, Charles ,Harriet , Henry ,and Susan. But my family record shows that my 3xxx great grandmother's name is Sarah Bloom and that they also had a daughter name Rebecca Ann (MIles) .born Dec 24,1852 in Coatsville, Chester,County PA.  She is married to my 2xs great grandfather Brinton Frederick Miles. Does any one know or have any Info on this. Deborah Stetser Thank you.

In the 1860 census, Rebecca Moore Miles appears to be living with a family named Davis. Her father and older brother, George, are in New Jersey. Her mother and other brothers are still in Norristown. The family is reunited in the 1870 census but Rebecca the younger is still not with them. In 1880, Rebecca Miles Moore in the household of Brinton (transcribed as Burton) and Rebecca Moore Miles, recorded as mother-in-law to the head of household.

Father = Jesse Moore, but not the one married to Sarah Bloom.

Mother = Rebecca Miles (this is not an error, she is recorded as Rebecca Miles on death certificates of other children)

Yes, the mother was Rebecca Miles before she married and became Rebecca Moore. The daughter was Rebecca Moore before she married and became Rebecca Miles. Talk about confusing! lol

Comments

In 1900 Sarah is widowed and living with her son Charles who was born after 1850. This would make six known children. Note that she is recorded as being the mother of 6 with 6 living. So all of her children are accounted for and Rebecca isn't one of them.

Thank you!!!!! Who would guess that  I would have a great great grandmother with the name Rebecca Miles (Moore) and her mother is Rebecca Moore (Miles) that is weird. By the way the name is Briton as it goes on down the tree at least twice.  But you are a great wiki tree-er.
