Hi Frank,
Do you have more information such as names of parents and grand-parents and when/where they might have lived/got married? I'm finding quite a few records for Weir in the New Brunswick provincial archives...

I had a grandfather married to Ruby Weir in Rotherham, Yorkshire in 1911. She has a slightly mysterous past in that her sister Marguretta was born in Canada to a mother Evelyn. There's also a family story that her parents ran a pub. Mr Weir may have died because the first time we see her  here is in  a census 1901 living with a step-father George Smith and her mother  in Great Preston, Tadcaster. Have done little work on her as she's not my relative  She died in 1923/4 and is buried in Tinsley church Sheffield. Have the certificate.Born in Royston, Barnsley so she's mining stock. Her parents maybe went to dig gold  or run a bar? Not very exciting I'm afraid, lots of poverty, but have a portrait photo of her and she's a robust good lookingwoman. She had two sons Bernard and Jack. Terrible life. Some more info but unlikely to be your relative.
