Can ANY OF YOU trace your Murdocks to late 1700/very early 1800's Pictou County, Nova Scotia?

Hi - I am attempting to legitimately connect as many of the earliest Murdocks to live in Nova Scotia as possible, and with particular reference to Pictou County area. I of course know about John +fam. who helped settle Nelson-Miramichi New Brunswick in 1765; about James and John in the 1770 NS census; and I have the names of over 35+ Murdocks in the general Pictou area from the very late 1700's, through the 1817 census. But HOW are they connected? Because I am of the opinion that a good-sized majority of them Are (connected, quite directly). Have ANY of you done research, or possess info on this? I am the great grandson of Thomas Murdock, born 1829, and Janet Murdoch, born 1821, but that is where my search backwards ends. Their daughter Ella Murdoch was my grandmother. I too, have one of those long stories.

I do know that Thomas' father was born in Nova Scotia and that his mother was from Ireland. And, that both of Janet's parents were from Scotland, but that's it.

There is a Findley Murdock on the United Empire Loyalist site just FYI
