How to add GEDCOM ancestors that aren't listed in your database?

Your genealogy database system is set up for adding new GEDCOM ancestors through a match/compare procedure.  My problem is what if there isn't any name to match/compare to.  I wish to know an easier way to add new ancestors without entering them one at a time.  Do you have a way to ease this burden?

Hi Mark,

I clicked on the "help" button at the bottom of your gedcompare page and found more information including this:

"Add buttons don't appear on the main table until all suggested matches in your GEDCOM have been confirmed or rejected."

This is probably what is going on.  I believe if you complete the procedure then the "add" buttons will show.  You will be able to click on those to create new profiles.

Please let me know if that solves the problem or not.  I'd like to make sure you are all set.

Adding them one at a time was a fairly recent change, because bulk adding was causing too many problems with duplicate and unsourced profiles.
