in ged compare- if I match a profile do I still have to reject the others???

Yes, you have to record a match or reject decision on each of the suggested matches. (And there might be more than one accepted match. On my current Gedcom, there is a profile with 3 suggested matches -- all three of which are the same person!)

I've run into that also. What I'm trying to do is suggest merges for the duplicate matches, and wait to merge my matched person with the final merged profile. Takes a little longer, but it's a slow process anyway so it isn't slowing me down any.
