Need to confirm Caleb Conant - Ebenezer Conant - Chester Conant

Hello all, and thank you in advance for all help!

I am looking for independent verification of my research that Caleb Conant (b. 10/12/1741) and Susannah Bibbins, who married 5/15/1760 in Mansfield, CT had a son named Ebenezer Conant, born 10/12/1762 in Mansfield, CT.  All reference I find to this marriage only brings up a son named Timothy Conant, b 4/19/1772.

From there, did the above Ebenezer then have a son with Elinor Allen (b 1762?) after their marriage, named Chester Conant?  Chester was born 4/30/1802 in Litchfield, Herkimer County, NY.

My paternal grandmother was a Conant, descended from Chester.  I am trying to connect our small branch of the Conant tree to the Roger Conant line.

Thanks!

Did you look for a will for Caleb? A will for Ebenezer?

Thank you, Frank!  That is what I was looking for.  Is it acceptable to rely on familyhistory.org citations to add ancestors to WikiTree?

Timothy and Caleb Conant trace back to Roger Conant born or baptised 1592. If you click on ANCESTORS on Timothy or Caleb's WikiTree site you will see how they trace back to Roger and to Roger's ancestors.

I would consider the Ebenezer Conant information at familysearch.org https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F7HM-LZ9 to be valid. The War of 1812 began when Ebenezer was 50 years old. Not sure if it's the same Ebenezer.

My most recent Conant ancestor is Silvia Conant born 1791 in Massachusetts.

Cousin Frank

Thanks again, Cuz!  I have lots of information for Ebenezer's line to add to WikiTree, I just wanted to verify he can be connected to Caleb (and then back to Roger) before doing so. This whole process has been incredibly interesting and exciting.  I can't wait to share this with my (our!) Conant relations!
