Donnie, I did find it. Send me a PM with your email and I'll send it off to you.

Sent with message I would like to know how to even look my grandparents obituaries up also.

Thanks for helping...
You can search them at newspapers.com without a subscription. Be sure to try different variations of names, and know that often, the women were written about as "Mrs. John Doe," or "Mrs. John E. Doe." Sometimes, there is only a death notice under the surname. I try everything in my searches, which is time-consuming, but gives me more hits.

To see the entire obituary, though, you must subscribe. As Casey points out below, you can sub for a week's trial free. Just be SURE to cancel by the end of that 7 days, or you will be looking at a 6-month or yearly subscription.
I would also like to know on how to get old obits as well.

Lilly Anderson, G2G 4    Thank you
Lilly, I have a subscription to genealogy bank and am on my last 6 months of newspapers.com.

Many times, you can "see" the old obituary at newspapers.com free. Just search the name on google and see if a hit comes up for newspapers.com. Try different variations of the name (this is for US newspapers and there are many in their archives.) If you get a hit, open the link and you will see a page and a "find" or 'search" box (i forget which one it is) and you can enter the name or just the last name. The page will be highlighted where the name occurs. There will also be a large text box on the left side of the page with OCR text. Sometimes you can piece together the obituary from that, but it reads across the entire page of newsprint, so the lines can be separated. I have done this numerous times with success.

I like using Newspapers.com to find obits. Many newspapers aren't online yet but many are....even many really small towns. It isn't free but you can buy a month only and there's usually a free trial.
