It looks to me like you will have to do your own research.  Allowing that the preparer of this website sounds knowledgeable, I didn't see many sources for the information.  Sources are King, and not having them means he "thinks" this is the way it was, NOT that it was the way he says.

With no verifiable facts to support each statement, there is no reliability.

I used the email given on the site to contact the owner, and she responded today.  She's a Rowley descendant who inherited the site from its previous owner (now deceased), who in turn had inherited it from its original creator.  Here's her relevant comment:

"[I've] continued working on the website and the database since.  I have passed the collected papers to NEHGS Archives (over 2 lateral five drawer file cabinets full, over 25 boxes).  I am still maintaining the database and the website.  For sources, the best thing is to email me and I will respond with the sources I have for the data requested.  [The previous owners] made no attempt to include sources and I've made no attempt to add them except the census records, the cemeteries, and a few other odd items.  The main goal of the site is to be a resource site that identifies and separates Rowleys and varieties of that name."

So while you can contact her via that email, the likelihood of her being able to provide sources for a given entry seems iffy.

I have some disconnected Rowley's in my line. I wish the information on the site was sourced so I could connect the stray father and son.
Thanks all, I only discovered I had a possible connection to the Mayflower, a week ago,  when adding a few more ancestors that I am fairly certain of, (well as certain as you can when adding them from a website, sources were cited), and discovered I had  a Rowley ancestor, the first thing when finding a new ancestor is  I check online, to see if anything is known about them, to my surprise and amusement ( I am not an American and my last ancestor to be born in the USA was in 1805 or thereabouts) some claimed a Mayflower descent, but it was all so iffy,  so I have decided to bite the bullet, and for the cost of $25 US I sent off an inquiry to the Mayflower Association, so in 3 to 6 weeks maybe a little longer (because of the 400 anniversary coming up) I will hopefully know one way or another, when I get a result, I will let the Mayflower Project know, I havn't joined them yet.
The preliminary review used to be at no cost, but I recall that they only verified the four or five generations from the Mayflower Passenger. Have they changed the process?
It cost $25 US and said on the application form "  We will compare your proposed lineage with the approved lineage papers in our files to determine what portion of your line is already documented. You will receive a report on the findings with instructions on how to proceed."   I have a complete lineage on paper but  from other websites not primary or secondary sources.  I took this to mean that if someone else has a similar line of descent that is already documented it will automatically be accepted up to the last known common ancestor. For $25 I thought it worth finding out. Still waiting for an answer but it has only been a month.
To S. Wilson: The offer is still open to look things up for you and let you know what my sources are for them.
Thanks Judy.

I am looking for sources conclusively tying Henry Bateman Rowley, father and son, together. One born ~1756 in CT, the other in 1790 in VT. In some books I've seen one or the other seems to go by just Henry Rowley or Bateman Rowley.
I have two iffy sources on the relationship, but they are yours:

1) In the Addison VT Mail List at Rootsweb, 22 Jun 2000, Phoebe Ellen (Wolcott) Upson got a response from William Hull (hull57@potsam.edu)

2) Family Group Sheet compiled by Will B Hull, 14 Farmer Street, Canton, NY, 16 Dec 1993. (Part of the George Rowley Collection, RR2, Clive, Alberta, Canada TOC OYO, July 1996)

In addition, these apply to the family of Henry Bateman Rowley:

3) Ward, Frederick Corbett. The Rowley Collection. Newberry Library, 60 West Walton St., Chicago, IL

4) MacIntire, Susan and Witherel, Sanford. A Genealogical History of the Early Families of Shoreham, VT, pg 190.

5) Mayflower 4:156

6) NYGBR 37:206

7) Know all men by these present that I Thomas Rowlee of Shoreham in the County Addison and state Vermont Esquire for and in Consideration of the parental Love and goodwill I have for my son Henry Bateman Rowley have given and granted unto him the said Henry Bateman Rowlee one certain lott of land in said Shoreham it being lott no. 24 of the fourth division belonging to the right of which William White was the original grantee. To have and to hold said granted and given premises with all the appurtenances there unto belonging unto him the said Henry B his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof hereby engaging for myself my heirs and assigns forever to warrant and defend said given and granted premises forever to warrant and defend said given and granted premises against all the lawful clams and demands of any person or persons whatsoever the same by or under me. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 20 day of June AD 1787 (Signed in presence of: John Mott, Thomas Rowlee (seal), Gideon Mott) State of Vermont Rutland County ss: Brandon June the twentieth day AD 1787. Then personally appeared Thomas Rowlee Esq. Signer and Sealer of the written instrument and acknowledged the same to be his free act and deed before me. John Mott Justice of Peace. Received Shoreham 27th February 1795 and Recorded. John B Catlin Town Clerk

Best Regards,

Judy Bramlage
There is a third (that I know of) Henry Bateman Rowley. He is the son of William Rowley and Ruby Snow. b. ca 1833 St Lawrence Co., NY, was on the 1850 census in his parents' household in De Kalb, St Lawrence Co., NY, married Harriet Lanway 8 August 1857 in Hammond, NY, had two children, and died 8 July 1862 Winchester, Frederick Co., VA. William was the brother of Henry Bateman Rowley 2nd.
