What do I do after multiple requests to be added as trusted member and getting no response?

I wonder if the default security for massive file uploads should not open for edit automatically?  Appears many are uploaded and then ignored, which doesn't serve anyone.

You will need to use the Unresponsive PM route, but if the profiles are open, you can edit them without being on the Trusted List
The best thing I did in this line was following the recommendation to create my own profile for the person, then initiate a merge.  Wait 30 days, and poof--all problems are erased.
J, it takes less than 30 days to get results via Unresponsive PM and you have not created  an undesirable redirect with an unnecessary merge,
I've been waiting for almost 2 years.  I followed the recommendation on the help page.
Maybe follow up on it. I've only had to use it once and think it was not much longer than a week, and the profile I wanted to edit, was orphaned along with all of the PM's other profiles, which I then felt obligated to work on correcting and sourcing etc. :(
Fingers crossed that will happen in this case.
Two years is a long time to wait! I would definitely go the "unresponsive profile manager" route. I've only had to use it once and it worked like a charm.

Open profile requests also work really well if the dates are far enough back. As the problem may be with the dates, I find it helps if I include the correct dates with sources in a relatives's profile, and then refer to that in the open profile request. When it is clear to the admin that the profile should be open, its usually fixed within a day or two at most.
She died in the 1980s, but she's marked red, so I couldn't add her to my aunt as her mother. Anyway, we'll see if this works.

Unresponsive Profile Managers

Profile Managers who don't respond to private messages and merge proposals are a big problem on WikiTree.

If you can't reach the manager of a profile, see Unresponsive Profile Managershttps://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Profile_Manager#Unresponsive_Profile_Managers
