Incorrect GEDCOM uploads ...

I just noticed these duplicates made earlier this week: I do understand how the latter could be missed as the validated profile (yet to be Project Profile Protected) has a deviant spelling, but what I do not understand is a) the first one does not have a variant spelling except for the capitalized last part of the surname b) how the creation of LNsAB with capitals can be generated through GEDCOM when they are against the spelling rules of WikiTree? How many others out there are there ...

I see that one of the sources (see the pre-merge edited bio) included the profile of the already existing duplicate:

I assume this must be a bug ....

At the bottom of Susanna, you can see where the match to the older profile was rejected when the new gedcom gal was added.

And the date of death of the duplicate created is in fact the date of marriage to another spouse .... though not validated yet, she is presumed to have died in 1807 or 1808.

I'm concerned that Gedcompare allows upload of profiles with words in allcaps inside the data fields. Is there any way this can be prevented ?

I'll add this to our improvements list, Isabelle and Philip.
Yes agreed Gedcompare should not allow that. Interestingly it only did this with some profiles and not with others. This was my gedcom and the caps were my fault. Apologies to all.
