Now that WikiTree can associate a direct maternal line with an mtDNA result of a direct female line descendant, which mtDNA tested direct maternal line in WikiTree goes back the most number of generations?  How many generations back does that direct maternal line go?

King Richard III's mtDNA tested maternal line has the most number of generations in WikiTree.  It has 20 generations extending from Katherine Roet (b. 1350) http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Roet-3 down to Michael Ibsen born in the 1940's.

To follow this line go to http://www.wikitree.com/treewidget/Roet-3/890 and then click on the descendant chart icon for Barbara (Belasyse) Slingsby.  (I wonder why Barbara (Slingsby) Talbot does not have a similar icon?)  Then click on the descendant chart icon for Muriel (Stokes) Brown.
