Yes I'm new to Wiki-Tree but I would truly like to learn and collaborate with others as my mother's ancestry is all Irish but extremely had to connect to. I've researched as best I could the Toronto area perusing the Catholic non-indexed archives transferred to FamilySearch. I found the Heeney/Daly marriage in 1848 but unfortunately during that time the catholic church St.Paul's was I guess overwhelmed with the famine immigrates of which my first Canadian paternel ancestor James Heeney was one in 1847 (oldest daughter's opinion). Unforunately for me Ellen Daley was a widow and the marriage info normally given: Parents, Ellen's deceased husband and where they were from in Ireland, all absent. I've taken to detailing everthing about "Stanley street" thru the Globe & Mail archives mostly Police data, and would one day hope to tie the census, newspapers, church records, city directories and civll acts into a one coherent document, or as close to it as possible. My mother's maternel linage (Ryan-Dunn) was easier because they arrived and married after 1869. It's been 14 years. WikiTree seems truly a real cooperative bunch of people sharing and disciplined researchers. Voilà !
