The North Sea coast of Scotland is quite long Mary. Are you looking for specific people? If so, who, where and when?
My Sutherland ancestors are thought trace back to Sutherlandshire, but I have not confirmed it.

Hi Mary Ellen.

Many thanks indeed for your question.

As Lynda points out, North Sea coastland covers about half the Scottish coastline.

So, my paternal ancestors, who seem to have originated in the county of Caithness in the north of Scotland, would answer "Yes" to your question.

If we can be of any more help, don't hesitate to post here.
