Waiting time to receive Cemeteries badge? [closed]

I've contacted 2 different project managers about getting a Cemeteries Badge. The first request being a month ago. Is there a waiting period to receive this badge or do I need to do something else yet in order to get the badge. I've been adding the Cemeteries category to listing that I'm the manager of and actually ended up adding a cemetery that wasn't listed yet. I would like to continue adding people to my local cemeteries but would like to be considered part of the project before I start adding new profiles.

Morning,

 Yes it does take awhile.
Of course, you don't need to be a project member in order to continue what you've been doing.  I tried to join several years ago (don't remember who was leader then), and never had a response.  I think sometimes things just fall off of peoples' radar.
Hi Leonard,

Please close out this question posting as completed, thank you and welcome to the Cemeteries Project!
Thank you Leonard!  ;)

I awarded the badge last evening. I rcd your message two days ago while I was out of town. My apologies I had no way to access the site on the road.  We are nearly all volunteers and I try to get to all emails in two to three days.  Again, sorry for the delay and the badge is on your profile now.
Sincerely,
Lisa

I see one of the global leaders of this project (the leader for Europe) has not made a contribution to Wikitree since April 2015!

On the main page, the leader for European Cemeteries is correct and is quite active. This wasn’t corrected on the project page, which I will correct for you now. This may seem like something that wouldn’t be overlooked but the complexity of leadership responsibilities is amazing. Sometimes the smaller things are missed while tending to more urgent member needs. You will be glad to know we are in the process of updating all of our project pages!

Thanks for your interest in the Global Cemeteries Project!!

Here’s the link to the main projects page:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Projects#Global_Cemeteries

I have corrected the page now and as you can see Paul Bech is handling this as we look for a leader or coordinator to take over. We have a lot of great new leaders!

Also be mindful that many things do not reflect in the Contributions tracking...none of the work activity in Categories receives any credit. I'm sure there are other examples as well.

Thank you to all the many unselfish contributions of our passionate and dedicated leaders... past, current, and future!
It receives credit, the same as any other contribution but does not show up in your contributions list. The work also shows in the contributions feed that the Rangers follow and is recorded in the changes history of the category page.
Ah that's good to know! Thanks Paula!
Yes I used to think the same thing. It’s only fair because some of our members work hard in categories every day!
I very much agree, been working on Cemetery Categories and several others, and it is contributing. Earlier this year, put quite a few hours into the Volga German Project categories!

I’ve left a message on the profile of the leader of the US Cemeteries to come over here to respond to your query.

Jillianne, I awarded it last night. It is already on his profile. Thx
