I am writing a book on an engineer and (Bentley) racing driver from the 1920s called Frank Clement - born and raised in Tring. The Clements were watch and clock makers. His mother was Louisa Elliott from Aston Abbotts born in 1846, the daughter of William and Mary Elliott.

However, it looks as if Frank's great grandfather, John Clement (1749-1812), watch and clock maker, had married an Elizabeth Elliott from Aston Abbotts in 1773. I cannot get further than that at present and was wondering whether anyone in the Elliott family has further details. Anything that you can add would be much appreciated.
