Goldie L Lang, confused about birth place and parents

Goldie L Lang was my great grandmother b. about 1893-1894 in either IA or KS. My grandfather's birth certificate lists her birthplace as Ottawa, Franklin Co., IA. However, his sister's birth certificate lists it simply as KS. I'm unable to find anything about her birth. She left my great grandfather (Floyd Barnes Hardin) when their daughter was only 9 months old. I can't find any documentation of their divorce, though I've seen on another person's Ancestry.com profile that they separated in Nov. 1914 while they were living in Buhl, Twin Falls, ID. She also shows that the divorce was granted 9 Sep 1915 in American Falls, Power County, Idaho. There is no documentation on this either.

The other problem I'm having is finding her parents. The only hint I have about that is on the wedding certificate it shows her being 17 at the time of their marriage, and there is no listing of the mother, only that her father gave consent to the marriage but gives no name. There is an announcement in the Cook County Herald that says they were married at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Lang of Englewood in Chicago.

I'm completely stymied!

This record looks promising:

"United States Census, 1910," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M2C2-1MT : accessed 2 November 2017), Goldie L Lang in household of Andrew S Lang, Emporia Ward 2, Lyon, Kansas, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) ED 47, sheet 12B, family 220, NARA microfilm publication T624 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 1982), roll 445; FHL microfilm 1,374,458.

Parents - Andrew S. Lang and Lucy M. Lang? Possibly?

"United States Census, 1900," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MMY9-78N : accessed 2 November 2017), Goldie Lang in household of Andrew Lang, Emporia Township Emporia city Ward 2, Lyon, Kansas, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) 70, sheet 1A, family 8, NARA microfilm publication T623 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 1972.); FHL microfilm 1,240,487.

The corresponding 1900 Census - not sure if the siblings line up for you though.

Marriage to Floyd Hardin:

"Illinois, Cook County Marriages, 1871-1920," database, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N7C8-428 : 26 December 2014), Floyd Hardin and Goldie L. Lang, 14 Feb 1911; citing Chicago, Cook, Illinois, 557986, Cook County Courthouse, Chicago; FHL microfilm 1,030,495.

If this is her in 1940, then she moved back to Kansas. She's noted as "Divorced" in the Census.

"United States Census, 1940," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VRLM-Q7Y : accessed 2 November 2017), Goldie Harding, Ward 6, Wichita, Wichita City, Sedgwick, Kansas, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) 107-101, sheet 7A, line 32, family 151, Sixteenth Census of the United States, 1940, NARA digital publication T627. Records of the Bureau of the Census, 1790 - 2007, RG 29. Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 2012, roll 1275.

This record is interesting too - appears to indicate that they married 1911, had a child (Oliver) in 1912, had a second child (Vivian) in 1914, then there was a New York Census from 1915 that is cited - could they have moved to New York by 1915?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, "Pedigree Resource File," database, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/2:2:3D38-Q4T : accessed 2017-11-02), entry for Goldie L /Lang/.

Wow - very possibly they did move frequently. Floyd pops up in Chicago to be married in 1911, Oliver is born in Indiana in 1912. Vivian is born in Idaho in 1914. If they were in New York in 1915 (still checking) then he was in LA, California in 1917 for the WW I draft cards. Denver, Colorado in 1942 for the WW II draft cards.

Yep - in 1920 in Los Angeles - there are Oliver and Vivian.

"United States Census, 1920," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MHQD-KQT : accessed 2 November 2017), Floyd Hardin, Los Angeles Assembly District 61, Los Angeles, California, United States; citing ED 113, sheet 10A, line 29, family 235, NARA microfilm publication T625 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 1992), roll 105; FHL microfilm 1,820,105.

I've seen that record, but the parent's names don't match up. In 2 newpaper announcements of their wedding it lists her parents only as Mr. and Mrs. J. Lang of Englewood (a suburb of Chicago).
Rats - I'd need Ancestry to look at the record. Can't see it. There's an F A Hardin in New York City, born 1887, so it could be him. But I'd need more to look at the record to be sure.
Yes - the Pedigree Resource File also shows her parents as simply "J. Lang". Not very helpful on that front.
They did move quite frequently.  Floyd was a Methodist minister, who started preaching in Chicago, then they moved to ID to take over his father's ministry there. He himself was quite a character!
F. A Hardin is Floyd's grandfather, Franklin Allen.
Hmm... perhaps he was in town visiting in 1915 when NY did their Census. The record might be worth checking. They could have easily assumed that he was a Jr. since he was visiting. Might be a bit of a reach, but worth looking into. Even better if he took the kids with him, and they show up on the Census too...

I can send you the link to my Ancestry page if that helps.  It's https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/17528397/person/522099620/facts
