Mystery 1870 Abbie Dubois in Ulster County NY USA

+10 votes

My maternal GGGM Sarah M. (Spencer) Thomas had sibling Abbie M. (Spencer) Dubois b. 5 Aug 1838 in Ulster County NY USA,  "Abbie M." routinely uses her middle initial in USC records, but a second Abbie Dubois appears in a nearby town in the 1870 USC.  THUS: 1860 USC Abbie M. Dubois in Twn/Saugerties with husband Wynesma (sp?) Dubois b. abt 1835 and children incl a "Kate".  1870 USC Abbie M. still in Twn/Saugerties with Wynesma and children incl a "Kate" .... also in this family is a Margarette Dubois b. abt 1815.  HOWEVER, there is another Abbie Dubois listed in nearby Twn/Hurley with a husband George Dubois b. abt 1834 plus their children.  I don't find this duplicate "Abbie" in other records.  1900 USC Abbie M. widowed and in Saugerties.  1910 USC Abbie M. widowed and in Yonkers - NY City.   So who is this other Abbie Debois in 1870 ?  Based on routine use of middle initial I believe I have the correct one for my purposes.
