Philip Chesneau Delatre

Question

This is a bit weird, but I am one of those people who cannot pass up genealogical information that may go lost. This past week-end, I attended an antique book sale, and in amongst the books were 18 hand-typed and stapled pages outlining the biography of Philip Chesneau Delatre. It indicates that "the sketch is based on notes of conversations which I had some 55 or 60 years ago with my... great-aunt Frances, Delatre's youngest daughter."

This would be Emily Louisa Delatre-1's father; Frances is her sister. Apparently, Delatre had no sons to carry the name, only four daughters who are listed at the end with their spouses and children. I know this kind of information is often difficult to find or even lost, and wondered what would be the best way to save it and share on WikiTree if possible.

Also, if there is someone out there that would like to have the original, I would be more than happy to mail it to you.

What a wonderful find, Denise! Thanks for sharing. I have no connection to the family myself. I'm a member of the Ontario Project and Emily happens to be married to one of our "notables." Perhaps Ross is related and will accept your kind offer.

I'm not related at all, but I've done some research on figures from Canadian history, which is how I came across Emily.  I'd be happy to enter the information you have on the Delatre family, although I'm not sure I'm the best person to hold the original documents.  

I wonder if the Toronto Historical Society or the Royal Ontario Museum would have an interest in the actual documents.
