Sorry but Flowers-109 is Jacob Flowers b. 1635

Flowers-1253 is Jacob Flowers b. 1635

Both died abt 1700 in Surry, VA.

Both say their father is John Flowers.

Flowers-109 is Billy Hugh Flowers, Sr:  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Flowers-109

Now I see my mistake, it is Flower-109 not Flowers

Sorry.

One is red-locked, but born in the 1930s.  The other was born 1635.  Probably not duplicates.

edit #2: I'd probably just propose to merge the profiles, whether they're the same, or are meant  to be different people. The family of Flowers-1253 contains only two people, not connected to anyone else, with few dates or places, and no sources. Both profile managers seem to be active, and they can sort it out themselves.

and

might in fact be the same person. They were both born in Stepney, Middlesex, England in the same year, and had children in the United States, apparently in Surrey Virginia. The minor spelling difference between Flower and Flowers is unimportant.

I'd start by creating an unmerged match between the two profiles, and then start looking for records. If you can find only a single British Jacob Flowers, having children named John and Henry Humphrey in Virginia (and or North Carolina?) I'd guess they're likely the same person.

edit: This is not a good source, but one family tree has the following:

Brad, I have initiated a merge of Flowers-1253 into Flower-109. Jacob Flower is my 8th great grandfather and was the original immigrant with the surname Flower to Virginia. It is believed that all of his descendents spelled the name Flowers.
