What setting do I use to export a ged file if I don't have character set UTF-8?

I have a choice between character set ANSI and ANSEL--might as well be a foreign language as far as I'm concerned.

Hi Debby,

Either one should be fine. UTF-8 is important if you have more than a couple non-English or accented characters. If it's mostly English names you'll have no trouble.
