Phoebe:  when sold, and to whom? is there a connection between this ownership and the purchase by her son J. T. in 1870 land in section 30&31 in calaveras county?.

John Thomas Kirk, did he really buy section 30,31, for $5.00 in gold coin, from his uncle Charles Williams?, in 1880 the U. S. census shows the entire family in Jenny Lind...did they all live under one roof or on section 30, and 31, bought by John Thomas Kirk in 1880?...when did he sell the property? and to whom?

Your question requires research at the Calaveras County recorder's office, which is likely to cost money (and learning how to do the research!) or paying for some sort of research report from a title company. It is likely that most California counties have digitized their deed records, but those records are likely not available to the public without charge. Assuming that Uncle Charles did sell that land for $5 in gold coin, the deed would likely not disclose that. Back at that time, deeds usually did not recite "the true and actual consideration" paid for a parcel of land.
