Can geneologies through Family Tree Maker be added to Wikitree?

My mother has done a very detailed geneology of both her and my father's geneology through Family Tree Maker.  Can this be linked to WikiTree or do I need to enter everything myself?

Hello Carol, You can export your genealogy from FTM as a gedcom file which can then be uploaded to Wikitree. Wikitree allows comparison of each individual profile in your gedcom with existing Wikitree profiles to ensure that duplicates are not created. You can read about the gedcompare process here. If you decide to try it I would recommend that you start with just a small gedcom while you are learning the process.

Before you decide whether to use a gedcom upload it would be a good idea to try adding some profiles manually so that you get a better understanding of how to write biographies and do sourcing in Wikitree.
